Despite increased risk factors for stroke, under-represented racial and ethnic populations continue to experience inequities in stroke treatment and post-acute care. Join us for an expert-led discussion of strategies to promote health equity in stroke care including:

  • Real-world insights and perspectives on health equity from stroke patients and providers
  • Racial and socioeconomic factors that contribute to disparities in access to quality care and treatments
  • Evidence-based strategies, tools, and resources to identify and resolve gaps in health equity in both acute and long-term stroke care

Learning Objectives

  • Assess racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic factors, practice patterns, and barriers that challenge evidence-based, equitable, and personalized care for patients experiencing stroke
  • Apply interprofessional strategies, resources, and shared decision-making to support personalized treatment and equitable access to stroke follow-up care
  • Implement clinical practices based on the latest evidence on safety, efficacy, and time to treatment to support safe, effective, and quality care for individuals experiencing acute ischemic stroke
